Weekend Rides are compact, high-impact motorcycle escapes from Hyderabad for riders who want real terrain without committing to a long expedition.
Each route has a distinct character: canyon rim camping, Hampi boulderlands, Eastern Ghats coffee roads, Nallamala forest tracks or Western Ghats plantation trails.
Distances are short enough for a weekend format but serious enough to require planning, stamina and confident mixed-surface riding.
These rides are ideal for riders who want dirt, gravel, ghat roads, forest corridors and dramatic landscapes close to the city.

340 km each way through the Deccan plateau to one of India’s most dramatic landscapes. The Gandikota gorge drops 200 feet into the Pennar river — the rim trails are unpaved jeep tracks with canyon views that rival anything in the American Southwest. We camp at the rim, explore the 15th-century fort ruins, and ride the red-earth trails that connect to Belum Caves before returning to Hyderabad.
Terreno40% offroad — red laterite jeep trails, rocky canyon rim tracks, gravel sections near the gorge. Rest is NH44 highway and state roads.
- Gandikota gorge — the ‘Grand Canyon of India’
- Pennar river canyon rim trail (dirt/gravel)
- Belum Caves — India’s second largest natural cave system
- Deccan plateau red-earth jeep tracks

370 km southwest to the surreal boulder landscape of Hampi — a place that looks like another planet. Giant granite boulders are stacked impossibly over 14th-century temple ruins. We ride dirt trails along the Tungabhadra river, navigate sandy river-bed crossings, and weave through banana plantations on unpaved farm roads. The UNESCO ruins are scattered over 26 km sq, so exploring them by motorcycle is the only way to see it all.
Terreno35% offroad — rocky river trails, banana plantation dirt roads, unpaved paths between temple ruins. Tungabhadra reservoir area has sandy river-bed crossings.
- UNESCO World Heritage Vijayanagara ruins
- Boulder-strewn landscape offroad trails along Tungabhadra

30% offroad3D/2N1,200 kmBase: HyderabadUSD 780Depósito: USD 300Bajo demanda
A 600 km eastbound run to the Eastern Ghats and the Bay of Bengal coast. The Araku Valley ghat road is one of India’s best riding roads — 40 hairpin bends climbing through dense tribal forests to the coffee-growing highlands. Above the ghats, we hit Paderu’s unpaved tribal roads and coffee plantation tracks. Day 2 descends to the coast through Borra Caves, and we ride along Vizag’s Bay of Bengal beaches before heading back through the Deccan. This is our longest weekend ride — serious distance for experienced riders.
Terreno30% offroad — Paderu tribal dirt roads, coffee plantation tracks, forest service roads through Eastern Ghats. Ghat sections are paved but narrow with sharp switchbacks.
- Eastern Ghats ghat road — 40+ hairpin bends through tribal forests
- Araku Valley coffee plantation trails
- Borra Caves — million-year-old limestone formations
- Paderu tribal village offroad sections

Ananthagiri-Srisailam Forest Circuit
45% offroad2D/1N500 kmBase: HyderabadUSD 520Depósito: USD 300Bajo demanda
The closest serious offroad ride from Hyderabad. 80 km south to Ananthagiri hills, then into the Nallamala forest — a tiger reserve with restricted forest roads that feel like riding through a wildlife documentary. The forest service roads are unpaved, shaded by dense canopy, and you might see deer, peacocks, or signs of bigger predators. Srisailam Dam sits in a dramatic Krishna river gorge with trails down to the water. Short distance, maximum offroad.
Terreno45% offroad — forest service roads through Nallamala tiger reserve, unpaved dam access tracks, gravel sections near Srisailam gorge. Highest offroad percentage of all weekend rides.
- Ananthagiri Hills forest riding
- Nallamala Forest (Nagarjunasagar-Srisailam Tiger Reserve)
- Srisailam Dam — Krishna river gorge views
- Forest service road offroad sections
- Ethipothala and Mallela Theertham waterfalls

575 km southwest to Karnataka’s coffee country in the Western Ghats. Chikmagalur is India’s original coffee-growing region — the hills are laced with unpaved plantation trails that wind through shade-grown arabica under jungle canopy. We ride to Mullayanagiri peak (1,930m — the highest in Karnataka), tackle the Baba Budangiri offroad trails, and descend through the Kemmanagundi forest route. Chase vehicle carries gear so we can focus on the trails. This is our most scenic weekend ride.
Terreno35% offroad — coffee estate dirt trails, Kemmanagundi forest track, Baba Budangiri hill offroad, Bhadra sanctuary access roads. Some sections are monsoon-damaged and permanently rough.
