OUR STORY
From the Boardroom to the Himalayas
Life is short. Do what you love. Help others achieve their dreams.
THE FOUNDER
I went to India as a CEO. I stayed as a rider.

“We ride it first, then we take you there.”
I didn't come to India to start a motorcycle expedition company. I moved to India to work as the CEO of a software development company. It was a corporate life: boardrooms, deadlines, and spreadsheets.
But then I discovered motorcycles in India.
I started exploring the vastness of this subcontinent on two wheels. I rode across the Deccan plateau, through the chaos of the coastal cities, up into the freezing altitudes of Ladakh, and across the border into Nepal. Over two years, I rode more than 80,000 kilometres.
The road changed everything. It made me realize something fundamental: life is too short to spend it behind a desk. You have to do what you love, and you have to help others achieve their dreams.
That was the moment I decided to leave the software industry behind and build Real India Expeditions. Because I don’t just want to ride India anymore. I want to show you the India I discovered.
THE ORIGIN
This didn't start as a tour company. It started with a ride.
Before Real India Expeditions existed, there was a route. Mr. John, Founder of Cerberus Motorcycle Club, created and rode the original route and connected us with 14 riders from his club.
That became the foundation for our first expedition. The expedition itself was our project, developed and financed by me in collaboration with Cerberus. We brought together 15 riders and put the journey to the test in the real world.
- Not on a spreadsheet.
- Not on a brochure.
- On the road.
We tested the motorcycles. We tested the logistics. We tested the support vehicle. We tested the accommodation. We tested the timing. We discovered the problems. And we learned how to operate a real motorcycle expedition in India.
CERBERUS 15: EXPEDITION 001
The Original 15 were there before Real India Expeditions became what it is today. They rode the original expedition. They experienced the route. They helped test the operation. They became part of the story.
This is not a badge you can buy. You had to be there.
THE EXPEDITION CAPTAIN
Mahee: 300,000+ KM

“Lead the road, live the adventure.”
Mahee was one of the Original 15 riders of the first expedition. With more than 300,000 kilometres ridden across India, he brings extraordinary firsthand knowledge of Indian roads, riding conditions, and long-distance motorcycle travel.
Since that first expedition, he has ridden the South India Expedition, North India Expedition, and Himalaya & Nepal Expedition alongside me. Today, Mahee serves as our India Expedition Captain. He was there from the first ride.
